Father Bill Winters, Dean of Calvary Cathedral in the 1990s, passed into eternal life on Saturday, December 30th. His wife Rita writes that he was taken suddenly by a stroke.
His memorial services will be at the Episcopal Church of the Ascension, 1912 Canyon Drive, Vestavia Hills, AL 35216, Thursday, January 4, 2024, 3:00 (visitation at 1:30pm) and at St. Joseph’s-on-the-Mountain Episcopal Church, 21145 Scenic Highway, Mentone, AL 35984 at 1:00 Friday, January 5, 2024, reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to St. Joseph’s-on-the Mountain, PO Box 161, Mentone, AL 35984 or Church of the Epiphany, PO Box 116, Guntersville, AL 35976.
