On Sunday, August 20th, I had the honor of spending time with the Rev. Larry Ort, his wife, Judy, and the good people of St. Paul’s in Brookings! At the service that morning, the Holy Spirit was asked to confirm three new Episcopalians, including one who was eighty-one years old! The service was followed by a reception and a meeting with members of St. Paul’s Vestry. Fr. Larry is retiring at the end of this year, and so we discussed the search process that they will undergo beginning in the year 2024. It was good to be able to worship our Lord with Fr. Larry one last time before he retires, and may God bless him and Judy in the new upcoming chapter in their lives!
