With some of the crew arriving in the afternoon of Thursday, May 25th, the annual Thunderhead Episcopal Center Work Weekend of 2023 began! On Friday, the Rev. Lydia Simmons, armed with the necessary "To Do List," covered all of the assignments, and many of the TEC Board members and other volunteers sprang into action preparing Thunderhead for this year's camping season.
The TEC Board members who could make it had their May meeting on Saturday morning, and discussed the new future direction of Thunderhead Episcopal Center and our need for long range planning in regards to finances and maintenance. We also heard updates regarding plans for this summer, and we are so very grateful to the chaplains who will be facilitating the camp weeks ahead, the staff members who will be arriving soon, and everyone who has been so instrumental in putting together this year's summer program.
