Summer seminary 2018 registration
Thank you for your interest in Summer Seminary 2018. This year's session will focus on teaching both how to be a Lay Reader as well as how to teach others to be Lay Readers. We will cover topics such as preparing readings, leading Morning & Evening Prayer, and preparing and delivering short homilies.
Summer Seminary 2018 will be held at Thunderhead Episcopal Center from 2:30 PM (MST), Tuesday, July 24 until the morning of Saturday, July 28. If you are part of the inaugural class going through the Catechist training program, you must attend both Summer Seminary and the Catechist Orientation that will begin 6:30 PM (MST) on Sunday, July 22 and will go until the beginning of Summer Seminary. Please only register for the Catechist Orientation if you have been asked to go through this first year of training.
Accommodations will be in either Supertent or in a cabin. Supertent rooms will be $200 for the week and cabins will be $150 for the week. Because of the growth of Summer Seminary in the last few years, we cannot guarantee a room in Supertent and they will be first come, first serve. Your room will not be reserved until the Diocese either receives your payment or you make other arrangements (please contact Marlys Fratzke at firstname.lastname@example.org to make these arrangements). If you have strong preferences for a particular type of accommodations, we recommend you get your payment in ASAP.
