Rustic Cabins In The Black Hills
Available for a minimum donation of $30/night
Owned by the Episcopal Diocese of South Dakota on land leased since 1922 from the Black Hills National Forest, under special permit with the USDA Forest Service.
Located off the Needles Highway (#87): South of Sylvan Lake -3 m. north of Playhouse Road.
3 screened cabins sleeping 4-6 +, each with outhouse.
Use 1 cabin or more for a minimum donation of $35 per night per cabin.
Provided: beds, mattresses, pots, pans, plates, cups, silverware, propane stove and refrigerator, fireplace.
Bishop’s Cabin – 2 Queen beds, 1 full, 2 twin
Guest Cabin – 2 Queen beds, 4 twin
Nunnery – 1 Queen beds, 1 full, 2 twin
Bring your own: bedding or sleeping bags, blankets, towels (paper, dish & bath, cleaning), food and beverages, outdoor grills (if desired), soap, tools for woodcutting, garbage bags, toilet paper, and lighting – fluorescent lanterns, propane lamps, Coleman lanterns with fuel, etc.
Horses are not allowed.
